Description

If you visit Philadelphia by bus, as was my case, you will start the visit to this city almost in the center, next to the parkIndependence National Historical Park, which houses in the center theLiberty Bella very important monument in the United States because it represents the struggle for independence and the abolition of slavery.

Later, by closeness, I recommend you to visit Chinatown, is a beautiful street with Asian businesses:

To continue, we can go to visit theMasonic TempleandPhiladelphia City Councilwhich are next door and are beautiful buildings:

Ayuntamiento de Filadelfia

Next up we’ll have the statue ofBenjamin Franklin Craftsman:

You can then visit theOne Liberty, the views of the street in which it is located are beautiful:

To continue the route, we will go to Logan Square, a beautiful square in which we will have next to the Basilica Cathedral of San Pedro and San Pablo, the Franklin Institute and the Parkway Central Library, which has a monument in honor of Shakespeare in front:

Catedral Basílica de San Pedro y San Pablo
Franklin Institute Filadelfia
Parkway Central Library

From this square, you can see the park that will take us to the Rocky Steps, famous for the Rocky Balboa films. In the park we will have to cross to get there, we will find monuments such as the Civil War Soldiers’ and Sailors’ Monument or the Rodin Museum:

At the end of the park, we’ll see the monumentWashington Monument Fountain, which has behind the Rocky Steps and thePhilly Museum of Art:

If we go up the stairs that Rocky went up in the movie, we can enjoy this panoramic view of the city:

To the right of the Rocky Steps, we’ll see theRocky Statue:

Finally, I visitedEastern State Penitentiary. I hope this is the first and last time you visit a prison, the experience was spectacular, the images speak for themselves.

The yard looks like the Prison Break series.

With these points, I would have finished my day of travel, because they are the most essential points in the city, but I like to see panoramic places I go to also so I took a big walk from prison to South Street Bridge.

On this walk, I saw the Phillies Mural, which is a mural in honor of the city’s baseball team:

Finally, from South Street Bridge, you can enjoy this view:
