– Cathedral of Santa Maria de Sigüenza

One of the most imposing cathedrals of Castilla-La Mancha, a mixture of Romanesque, Gothic and Renaissance styles. The tomb of the Doncel de Sigüenza, a Gothic funeral sculpture unique in Spain, stands out.

The Castle of Bishops (Parador de Sigüenza)

Medieval Fortress of the 12th century, episcopal residence for centuries. Today it houses the National Parator, preserving its defensive structure and noble lounges.

  • Free visitif you stay at the Parador or access the restaurant. The Tourist Parador reserves the right to access the courtyard to events.
  • From Monday to Thursday you can also visit from 11: 00 to 14: 00.

– Casa del Doncel

The 13th century museum where Martin Vázquez de Arce, the famous Doncel, lived. It houses temporary exhibitions and a mudejar room.

Ronda Mirador

Natural balcony over the ravine of La Ronda. From here you can see a medieval view of the city, ideal at sunset.

– Church of San Vicente Martir

Romanesque temple of the 12th century, with straight apse and a medieval polychrome Christ. It is part of the Romanesque triangle next to the Cathedral and the Church of Santiago.

The main square of Sigüenza

Built in the 16th century by Cardinal Mendoza. Its supports and red stone balconies are the heart of the city.

Located between the main gate, the house of the Doncel and the Calle Travesaña Baja. It retains traces of the synagogue and the ancient Hebrew cemetery.

Ο Major Street

Vertebrator axis of the historical centre. It links the Cathedral with the Castle and is flanked by noble houses, shops and restaurants. From it, there is a beautiful view of the Cathedral.

Mita del Humilladero

Little Renaissance temple at the entrance of the city. It was a tourist office and today it hosts exhibitions.

– Church of Santiago

Romanesque of the 12th century, was parish and then convent of clarisas. Restored after the Civil War, today it is the center of Romanesque interpretation.

The diocesan Museum of Old Art

Located in front of the Cathedral, in the Casa de los Barrena. It exhibits sacred art from the 12th to the 20th centuries.
